Quiz Nights

The SU3A Annual Quiz Night and Supper

Now fully booked. To join the waiting list please send form but NO cheque!

It’s back and it’s under new management. It was the Weekenders Quiz and it has a new date but it hasn’t stopped being the most fun you can have on a Saturday evening in Sheffield – and that’s no exaggeration.

The annual U3A quiz, described on Wikipedia as “without doubt the most fun you can have with a quiz and friends” complete with a multi-award winning pie and pea supper, meat or vegetarian, by popular acclaim “the most sociable quiz with the best questions ‘I know the answer to that’ and a supper in Sheffield”, will be held on Saturday 5th October at 7.30pm in Holy Trinity Church Hall, Grove Road, Millhouses, S7 2GY (good bus links and easy parking). Soft drinks with meal included. Bring your own alcohol if desired.

Autumn ushers in the best questions, conversation, friendly welcome and brain stimulating enjoyment this side of a box of truffle filled chocolates matched with the finest champagne hand delivered by Magnus Magnusson.

An evening of fun, mental stimulation, good food, conversation and the odd question or two – we will roll back the years to scurry round the dusty rooms of our brains to recall some of that knowledge accumulated in a lifetime of living. There will even be prizes for the best and the not so best.

We are looking for teams of four people but do not worry if you cannot form a team yourself: come along anyway and we will put teams together on the night. You can bring a non member as a guest if you wish.

If you would like to join us, for a relaxing and stimulating evening, please download and  complete the form and return it to Jane Doran, Whitehouse Cottage, 66 Nethergate, Stannington, S6 6DJ with your cheque for £13.50 made payable to Sheffield U3A.

Please include your email address or telephone number so we can confirm your booking and do let us know if you would like the vegetarian option. Please ring 0114 233 1433 if you would like further information.
