Group Activities: On behalf of SU3A we proactively chase and respond to requests from organisations outside SU3A who are seeking our members' help to participate in Research projects, mainly from both our universities' students or to become involved in Shared Learning projects where all parties gain new skills/knowledge. Project opportunities are offered through Links, the SU3A website and monthly newsletter. Participating in these projects can be great fun and very rewarding as well as the pleasure of working with people outside of our generation/experience.

We also have a short list of members who like to be informed directly as they are keen to become involved in these types of activities. If you would like to be added to the list or would like more information please contact Samina, the coordinator. All projects offered to members are vetted to the best of the group's abilities and have ethical approval Some historical examples of Projects that our members have been involved in: Shared Learning - 60's Experience with SHU, the "Story Catcher" project with South Yorkshire Housing Association and the Carter Knowle & Millhouses Environmental Study with members of both communities and our Steel City Wanderers group Research - Protein Supplement Study with Sheffield University and Microvascular Study with Sheffield Hallam University.
