40th Anniversary

Su3a 40th Anniversary Day 9th June
Whirlow Brook Hall and Park

Refreshments will be available all day. A light buffet lunch costing £5 and requiring pre-booking will be available in timed sittings from 12.00
noon to 1.30pm for those who don’t want to bring their own and picnic.

Parking will be extremely limited but we are trying to arrange parking at two nearby car parks. Car sharing or use of public transport is
recommended.

A private hire bus will be running in a loop between the Park and platform E5 at Pond St from 10.00am to 4.30pm. Discussion of route is still
ongoing. Other information on public buses will be given prior to the day.

The Café in the park will be open.

However, we need help to do all this as follows:

  • We will need a team of burly bodies to move chairs and tables and to organise parking areas.
  • We need “tea/coffee mashers”. Some of you may already have volunteered if you’re regulars at the monthly Drop In but if you haven’t and would like to volunteer, the more the better.
  • Finally, are you a First Aider or former health care professional with skills that would enable you to deal with minor injuries, cuts/bruises, fainting.
  • We would hope to get sufficient volunteers to spread the sessions out so that everyone gets a chance to enjoy the day.

Please contact chair@su3a.org.uk if you can help.
