The Geology Group usually meets on the third Wednesday of the month. We rendezvous at a location of geological interest, usually within a two hour drive of Sheffield, often closer. The walks are up to about six miles, often shorter. Volunteers from within the group organise and lead the walks. We all share knowledge and discuss what we see and find. Some years we organise a trip further away, staying for perhaps two or three nights. In December we have a Social and in January a Study Day.
