We explore the different facets of mindfulness and how it can be of benefit as we age. The group has been meeting for the last three years monthly on Zoom and we usually have 8-10 attendees. Sessions include meditations, simple mindful movement and discussion on a topic and for this we use breakout rooms. Topics are varied and include topics on mindfulness and ageing, positive psychology (for example savouring and gratitude), compassion and kindness. We used to meet face to face at Sheffield Hallam University Multifaith Centre, S1. We hope to return there once the situation has normalized.
We continue to run 6 week Mindfulness and Mediation courses and a monthly drop-in session for the u3a Trust Leaning Events programme. These are on Zoom.
