We meet once a month in The Commercial Pub to socialise over a cuppa (or something stronger) and gather ideas about what activities members might like to do. We organise a “pub friendly” activity (e.g. card game, board game, quiz) for the 2nd half of the meeting which members can either join in – or continue socialising .
We also go out on activities e.g. short walks, films at the cinema, meet ups in tea rooms, visits to places of local interest, meals out. The days of the activities vary according to availability of the group.
Members are encouraged to put forward suggestions about what they would like to do. We run a WhatsApp group where members can share information about any local events . Those who are willing to help organise an activity or “buddy up” to go to events are supported with doing this.
