This new group deals with issues such as ‘empty nesters’, downsizers, the newly single. 

Does one move close to children and grandchildren? What alternative modes of living are there as we age? 

How does one future proof housing? What about a hall of residence for third agers? What is social prescribing? 

The group interacts with existing initiatives whether university research programmes or actual bricks and mortar developments, whether in Sheffield or elsewhere. 

We have had visiting speakers, group discussions and hope to have field trips. 

We seek to share experience, offer practical tips as well as pursuing knowledge for its own sake.
