We walk each Friday in the Sheffield area, often in the Peak District.
The Group is unusual in that while walking we speak exclusively in German.
The walking and the German speaking are of equal importance.
Walks are planned by members on the basis of a walk of generally up to around 5 miles one Friday and a shorter, easier walk the following Friday.
They are usually followed by a visit to a cafe or a pub!
(During winter we often keep to shorter, easier walks close to ‘home’ on account of the unpredictability of the weather).
